Boy does time fly when you have lots to do. This quarter I have 17 units, an internship, and am working on a film for a festival here on campus (rough dead line is tomorrow, I think we'll make it). And I just finished up midterms that I feel really good about. All my classes are really interesting. I'm taking an animation seminar where we travel to different studios. Last week we visited Disney, tomorrow an animator from Dreamworks is coming to visit us, then we are off to Pixar next week and then Fuzzy Door (Family Guy) in two weeks... looking forward to them!
I have another special class taught by the guest lecturer, Paula Apsell, executive producer of PBS's NOVA. She's come all the way from Boston to teach a really intriguing class about the ways the entertainment industry can do a better job communicating science to the public. We will be preparing a pitch of our own for a science program we'd like to see produced.
The internship at theLOOP is going really well and I am having a lot of fun with the other employees and interns. Check out my first project as the media assistant...
